Management of electric and water distribution stations
The rise of electric motorization has led to the deployment of charging stations. These stations, also found in marinas, sometimes do not allow tracking of consumption by individual users. Operators face challenges managing billing and combating misuse.
Track, control, and bill each boater’s consumption with the ESG-Logger-Pulse®
Between yachts, sailboats, and catamarans, a dock serves many users; without sub-metering, the electricity and water bills remain lump sums—making it impossible to bill accurately or detect unauthorized connections.
In campgrounds or RV parks, the issue is the same: who consumed what? The ESG-Logger-Pulse® connects to your existing charging stations and turns every outlet into a precise measurement point, without heavy construction work.
Challenges of managing a charging station
No individual metering : overconsumption or leaks go unnoticed, leading to frequent disputes with users.
Fraud & unauthorized connections : a boater can plug into a neighboring outlet without being identified.
Costly interventions : a technician must read meters, cut power, or reconnect plugs during the night.
Ineo‑Sense's answer : ESG‑Logger‑Pulse®
Accurate Pulse Counting Connected to the pulse output of the water or electricity meter on the charging station, the sensor records the number of pulses, timestamps them, and calculates the actual consumption.
Leak or Anomaly Detection Thanks to an integrated calendar algorithm, any continuous flow during the night or abnormal consumption immediately triggers an alert.
Remote reading & control Values are transmitted in real time via LoRaWAN / Clover-Net; the operator can remotely cut or restore power* to stop abuse or prepare for a new client’s arrival.
*This function is available with the ESG-Logger version equipped with relays or paired with a wireless actuator from the Report-IO range.
Accurate allocation and billing Meter readings are automatically exported to the marina or campground management software; billing reflects the exact consumption of each individual spot.
Immediate benefits
Transparency and Fairness Each user pays for what they actually consume—no more disputes.
Leak and Overconsumption Reduction Early alerts enable interventions before waste occurs.
Operational Time Savings No more manual meter readings or trips to disconnect outlets.
Responsible Image Enhanced CSR efforts with optimized energy and water consumption.
Quick Return on Investment Energy savings plus accurate billing cover sensor costs within months.
Examples of applications
Marina : Each three-phase charging station is equipped with an ESG-Logger-Pulse®; the harbor master’s office monitors the consumption of docked boats and cuts off power if departure occurs without payment.
Campervan site : Billing by night and kWh, with alerts if a socket remains powered after the vehicle leaves.
Holiday village : Monitoring water consumption at boat rinse stations; detection of a hose left open.
