Wireless space-by-space guidance

In a car park in operation, every driver circling to find a space loses time, clogs the traffic lanes and undermines the image of the service.

For operators of urban, underground or covered structures, space guidance answers this problem directly : it shows available spots in real time and directs the driver from the moment they enter.

Our GalaP.SYS® solution delivers this guidance without any wiring, by combining occupancy detection with light signaling that drivers can read at a glance.

Real-time inventory of available spaces and light-guidance for underground parking

Driving around in circles to find a free spot means lost time, stress, and unnecessary pollution. In operating parking lots, installing a wired guidance system requires heavy, costly work that is often impossible to carry out without closing the facility.

GalaP.SYS® removes these constraints thanks to a 100% wireless architecture based on two Ineo-Sense components:

REP-Report-LED® : a standalone multicolor light indicator installed above each space.

Presence sensor (ACS-Switch-PIR® or ACS-Switch-TOF®) placed on the ceiling or floor to instantly detect the arrival of a vehicle.

The challenges of guidance in an underground car park

Underground car parks concentrate three difficulties that wired guidance struggles to solve.

Visibility is limited, since in narrow aisles a driver only spots a space at the very last moment.

Cabling works are heavy, as they require drilling trunking, dismantling suspended ceilings and interrupting operations.

Finally, permanent lighting and power-hungry wired systems drive up the energy bill and weigh on your environmental record.

We designed GalaP.SYS® to remove these three constraints with a fully wireless architecture.

How our GalaP.SYS® solution works

GalaP.SYS® relies on two complementary elements that we install on each space. A sensor detects the vehicle, a light indicator signals availability, and the whole system communicates wirelessly to your supervision platform.

Detecting occupancy on every space

Detection relies on our ACS-Switch-PIR and ACS-Switch-TOF presence sensors.

The first confirms a vehicle's presence through infrared detection, the second measures the distance to the floor to identify whether the space is occupied. We fit these sensors on the ceiling or the floor depending on your structure.

Their dual approach makes detection more reliable, including in areas where infrared alone reaches its limits.

To understand in detail how a parking space sensor detects occupancy, we cover infrared, time-of-flight and magnetic technologies in a dedicated article.

Signaling availability at a glance

Above each space, the REP-Report-LED shows green when the space is free and red when it is occupied.

Drivers can therefore identify an available space as soon as they enter the aisle, without taking their eyes off the lane.

You customize the light scenarios to suit your needs, for example blue for accessible spaces, orange for electric charging points or a dedicated color for reserved bays.

Transmitting data without a single cable

The LoRaWAN and Clover-Net® radio modules transmit the status of each space without any wiring, even when your car park spans several levels.

This long-range communication passes through concrete structures and covers the entire building from a small number of gateways.

Managing occupancy in real time

Each sensor reports its data continuously to your dashboard.

You track the occupancy rate space by space, measure the average parking duration and spot the long-stay vehicles that tie up your bays.

Through its REST API, GalaP.SYS® also feeds your dynamic display panels, your mobile app or your existing ticketing system.

Key strengths

Energy savings : 20 to 30% less consumption than a wired equivalent thanks to battery autonomy and low radio power.

Durability : Robust enclosures, operation from -20°C to +60°C, with several years of autonomy.

Customizable lighting scenarios : green/red, blue for disabled access (PMR), orange for electric charging, purple for reservation, and more.

Interoperability : REST API to feed dynamic signs, mobile apps, or existing ticketing systems.

Minimal maintenance : no ground loops, no cables to check; remote diagnostics and OTA updates.

Benefits for operators and users

Improved turnover
By finding a spot on the first try, drivers reduce their search time by 30 to 50%.

Optimized revenue
Better-distributed occupancy rates increase revenue without expanding the facility.

Premium user experience
Less stress, modern and eco-friendly image.

Reduced environmental impact
Less CO₂ from cars circling, lower electricity consumption.

Use cases adapted to every type of car park

We deploy GalaP.SYS® across a range of contexts.

Underground parking lots in shopping centers or office buildings.

Dedicated two-wheel zones : “bikes/motorcycles” mode activated on the same infrastructure.

Urban delivery areas : red indicator when a spot is occupied, green as soon as it’s freed.

Park-and-ride (P+R) lots near public transport, with counting for passenger information.

Case study : urban car park guidance with LPA

To optimize the management of its underground car parks, LPA deployed GalaP.SYS® with our teams.

Drivers reach a free space faster, while the operator reduces congestion, energy consumption and installation costs.

We detail this project in our case study on wireless urban parking guidance.

FAQ - Wireless space-by-space guidance

How do the sensors detect a vehicle ?

Our ACS-Switch-PIR and ACS-Switch-TOF sensors combine two detection methods. The first identifies presence through infrared, the second measures the distance to the floor. This dual approach makes occupancy detection reliable, whatever the layout of the space.

Does space guidance require any cabling works ?

No. GalaP.SYS® runs on a fully wireless architecture. We fix the sensors with screws or adhesive and commission them from a smartphone, with no trunking to drill and no interruption to car park operations.

Does the solution work in an underground car park, without a GPS signal ?

Yes. Space guidance does not depend on GPS. The sensors communicate over LoRaWAN and Clover-Net®, two long-range radio technologies that pass through concrete structures and cover several levels from a small number of gateways.

What is the battery life of the sensors ?

GalaP.SYS® sensors run on battery for several years. Their low radio consumption and energy autonomy reduce maintenance and secure your operating budget over time.

Can the guidance connect to our display panels or our existing app ?

Yes. GalaP.SYS® exposes a REST API that feeds your dynamic panels, your mobile app or your ticketing system. You bring real-time occupancy data into the tools your users already rely on.
