20th European company sport games - Riccione 2015

Sports for workplace health

Many companies have become aware of the real importance of regular physical activity for their employees. Sport, both physically and mentally, offers numerous benefits, including increased productivity.

According to a study, 80% of the French population is sedentary! More and more companies are encouraging their employees to engage in regular physical activity. Some works councils even go as far as covering gym memberships for their staff!

A real challenge

Entrepreneurs who care about the health of their teams and the well-being of their organization have clearly understood that they have everything to gain by encouraging their employees to exercise. They know that investing in physical activity truly pays off: a physically active employee is a more productive one. Indeed, sport has a very positive impact on company life:

1 – Employees are in better health.

2 – Workplace absenteeism decreases.

3 – Motivation to work harder for better results is strengthened.

Beyond the values of sport

We’re all familiar with the core values of sport—team spirit, a taste for challenge, the pursuit of performance, and so on. But regular physical activity can offer even more, playing a key role in maintaining the overall health of a company. Following a disciplined routine helps build work capacity, making it a valuable asset for extending a professional career in a sustainable and beneficial way.
Some people prefer independent workouts as a way to stay in shape on their own terms—this explains the popularity of fitness centers. Others opt for a more personalized approach, turning to fitness coaches who guide them and offer tailored programs based on their practice level, body type, goals, and most importantly, their motivation. This is exactly what top coaches offer today.

And you ?

Does your company offer sports activities during working hours? Does it cover part or all of the related costs ?

At Ineo-Sense, we’ve chosen to sponsor and promote access to a sport I’m particularly fond of: squash a game that demands resilience, anticipation, and technical skill. As part of this initiative, the Ineo-Sense team takes part in the European Company Sport Games. This year, the Games were held in Riccione, Italy, where our team finished 5th, after being knocked out in the quarter-finals by AIRBUS.

See you in June 2017 in Ghent, Belgium this time, with a medal in sight…
