The Internet of things serving french industrial competitiveness : a groundbreaking contract at the heart of industry 4.0 challenges
Ineo-Sense will supply smart sensors to Lauak’s industrial site in Hasparren (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) to reduce delivery cycles, optimize production flows, and improve the operational performance of this aerospace company. These devices, communicating via the LoRa platform, incorporate a breakthrough innovation: the “Clover-Core.”
Based in Nîmes, Ineo-Sense announces the signing of a major contract with Lauak, a leading manufacturer of parts and structures for the aerospace sector. Since 2010, Ineo-Sense has been designing, developing, and marketing intelligent and autonomous sensors that enable industrial players to fully harness the potential of the Internet of Things.
Deployment of 14,000 smart sensors
These sensors will be installed at the Hasparren site to maximize the subcontractor’s production capacity as well as the efficiency of its teams, in a context of strong growth.
A production lead-time reduction of over 20% is expected.
In a highly competitive global aerospace market, the Lauak group is attentive to technological opportunities to optimize its industrial processes.
At the Hasparren site, more than 14,000 production orders are constantly in transit, requiring numerous parts transfers and long processing times.
To benefit from productivity gains associated with process optimization, the Lauak group chose Ineo-Sense to deploy a high-performance IoT network based on Clover-Core technology.
Following an implementation phase of the LoRa® (Long Range and low power) platform, the 14,000 smart sensors will be installed on production boxes in the workshops, allowing operators to locate and identify all pending productions in real time across each work area. Full exploitation of the sensor network is scheduled for June 2019.

Benefits for the Lauak Group
- Optimization of manufacturing schedules based on actual resource availability
- Real-time alerts on processing priorities
- Instant visual identification of priority boxes thanks to a high-brightness LED on each sensor
- Time savings in locating parts
- Reduced waiting times between production steps
Thanks to these improvements, the group expects over a 20% reduction in lead times and enhanced team organization.
At the heart of the project : the breakthrough Clover-Core technology
This unprecedented project in Europe addresses the new challenges of Industry 4.0 by integrating an innovative IoT technology: Clover-Core, the result of three years of R&D.
Developed by Ineo-Sense, this suite of embedded software modules dedicated to industrial applications is integrated into each autonomous sensor. It guarantees high responsiveness and exceptional reliability of essential data exchanges in industrial environments.
Clover-Core’s high performance comes with low power consumption and long-range communication, especially indoors. This technology is seamlessly integrated with the LoRa® platform, the global reference for IoT networks.
Advantages of Clover-Core:
- Highly competitive cost compared to alternatives like BLE or UWB
- Sensor longevity (> 8 years)
- Scalability and agility of the infrastructure, facilitating expansions or reorganizations
- Data security
- High responsiveness of bidirectional communications (under 2 seconds)
The Lauak group naturally chose this differentiating technology.
A showcase for deployment in France and internationally
At the end of this first phase, the solution could be deployed in Portugal, where Lauak has a factory of more than 11,000 m², and potentially at its seven other sites. This expansion would enable the creation of a large inter-site communication network, complementing indoor location functions.
The technology developed by Ineo-Sense indeed ensures traceability between factories by relying on the LoRa® platform, in addition to indoor geolocation functions.
Olivier Guilbaud, President and Founder of Ineo-Sense:
“I am proud of this contract with the Lauak group, a unique reference in the industrial IoT world. Beyond the strong potential with our partner, this success is a great showcase for our company. This validation of our technology constitutes a decisive competitive advantage as we advance on over 30 projects in France and internationally.”
Mikel Charritton, General Manager of the Lauak group:
“We have always wanted to project our group into the era of Industry 4.0. Choosing a young French startup like Ineo-Sense to support us in our IoT project was a natural choice. The benefits of their technology are significant and open the way to new collaborations.”
Cédric Lynam, Head of Digital Transformation at the Lauak group:
“This concrete IoT project allows us to start digitizing our processes and collecting data to build our Data Lake. Big Data will provide us with decision support tools and even a predictive vision of our flows to improve our operational performance.”
