Connected electricity in ports – NGE Connect

NGE Connect is modernizing energy management in marinas with an intelligent solution for metering and controlling electric charging stations.

Thanks to precise consumption visibility per user, operators can finally bill based on actual usage, limit abuses, and reduce disputes.

Challenges

NGE Connect is the brand of NGE Energies Solutions (a subsidiary of the NGE group) specializing in the design, deployment, and maintenance of intelligent equipment networks (video surveillance, access control, mobility, environment, lighting, and energy).

Electric charging stations are provided for boaters in marinas to connect their boats to the electrical grid.

However, these stations sometimes do not allow tracking consumption by individual users. Marinas face challenges in managing billing to prevent misuse.

A tailored solution for controlled usage

The ESG-Logger range monitors consumption per user through pulse counting (ESG-Logger-Pulse) and remotely controls the power supply of the charging stations.

These solutions detect which outlet is being used, helping to reduce the risk of unauthorized usage.

Real billing and responsible usage

  • Energy consumption is thus controlled.
  • Billing is done based on actual usage, eliminating the risk of disputes.

Our last projects

  • JCDecaux & Ineo-Sense – Connected bike mobility

Thanks to 1,600 sensors installed at Bicloo stations in Nantes, JCDecaux improves real-time bike availability. Users benefit from a smoother service, and the collected data helps optimize fleet management and parking spot turnover.

  • LPA & Ineo-Sense – Wireless urban parking guidance

To optimize the management of its underground parking lots, LPA and Ineo-Sense deployed GalaP.SYS®, a battery-powered wireless parking guidance system. Thanks to this solution, drivers can find free spaces more quickly, while the city reduces congestion, energy consumption, and installation costs.
