Reducing congestion without heavy construction: a key challenge in the heart of the city
Lyon Parc Auto (LPA) is a historic parking operator in the Lyon metropolitan area. The company also positions itself as a mobility and urban life player by implementing services adapted to the city’s new uses, complementing car traffic.
Managing parking in underground car parks of large urban areas is a daily challenge to ensure smooth traffic flow despite high occupancy rates, as is the case in downtown Lyon. LPA was looking for easy-to-install solutions to improve user comfort by guiding them to available parking spots, thus reducing search times that cause congestion.
Traditional parking guidance systems rely on wired sensors and red/green indicators. They require cable pathways and supports that are costly and time-consuming to install. Moreover, locating cable routes in underground environments can be difficult.
LPA also wanted to implement operational support tools to enrich usage data.
An intelligent, autonomous, and wireless guidance system
GalaP.SYS® is a wireless parking guidance system that detects the arrival of a vehicle and immediately identifies available spots using a multicolor light indicator.
The use of cables and their supports disappears, as presence detection and the light indicators operate on batteries. Ineo-Sense’s Clover-Net® technology provides long battery life while ensuring very high responsiveness in radio communication exchanges, necessary for an efficient on-demand visualization system. This balance between responsiveness and energy efficiency is part of a long-range communication network designed to cover an entire underground parking lot while maintaining a lightweight radio communication infrastructure.
Clover-Net® meets these specific constraints, unlike traditional telecom networks such as WIFI, GSM, or Bluetooth, which are either too energy-consuming or have short range. Clover-Net® can transmit individualized lighting information to more than 200 devices simultaneously in less than one second.
This network functionality operates over distances of several hundred meters in parking lots and consumes only a few microamperes (µA) of power.

Smoother, cleaner, and more connected parking
- Without cable trays, economical and easy to install, this solution is ideal for both new parking lots and renovations.
- The system adapts to various operational scenarios such as counting spots for two-wheelers (bikes, motorcycles, etc.) and four-wheelers (combustion or electric vehicles), with or without light-guided assistance.
- GalaP.SYS® collects multiple data points on occupancy rates, parking durations, number of entries and exits, turnover rates, and provides better visibility on “sticky cars” (vehicles that stay too long).
- With 20 to 30% less energy consumption compared to a traditional wired system, GalaP.SYS® addresses corporate social responsibility (CSR) challenges.

JCDecaux & Ineo-Sense – Connected bike mobility
Thanks to 1,600 sensors installed at Bicloo stations in Nantes, JCDecaux improves real-time bike availability. Users benefit from a smoother service, and the collected data helps optimize fleet management and parking spot turnover.
Ausmeter & Ineo-Sense – Connected water management
In Australia, where droughts are becoming increasingly frequent, Ausmeter is deploying a submetering solution that connects older water meters. Thanks to the ESG-Logger-Pulse, consumption is monitored in real time, leaks are detected immediately, and resources are better preserved.
