ACS-Switch use a magnetic sensor who allows the detection of opening doors, windows, garages, safes and globally any ways of entrances. More than a simple opening detector, this device can also be used as a management system of infrastructures. Indeed, thanks to its numerous options, it can help to plan preventive maintenance depending on the usage of premises, to take into account the comings and goings of the staff and to inventory them.

This last version offers more advantages. The accelerometer allows a detection of event more effeciently than a simple magnet. For example, let’s say that you arrive in your workplace, you open the door of your building, and one of your colleagues arrives and reopens the door it before you had time to close it completely. In that case, a detector with magnet would not be able to take into account this second opening, what a detector with accelerometer could easily do. To put it in simple terms, this version detects any linear acceleration of the object on which the product is fixed, what allows to make use cases way wider than for a simple door or a window. Moreover , the installation is eased by a single casing to place, and it does not need any alignment between magnets.
The transmission of information is basically processed in LoRaWAN, either periodically or triggered by event, up to the associated network. but can also be realized thanks to the full bidirectional Clover-Net protocol and, therefore, authorizes the creation of sensors networks interacting altogether for a better collected interpretation of the information. Besides this, networking makes possible a mutualization of the LoRaWAN subscriptions, thus will help increasing your exploitation profits as soons as several products are deployed on the same building.
